Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

ITGS inc. ("ITGS", "we") takes the protection of your personal information seriously. This policy explains what data we collect, why, how we use and protect it, and your rights. ITGS operates in accordance with Quebec's Law 25 (an act modernizing legislative provisions on the protection of personal information). The governance and legal side of this compliance is handled with our partner Synéra.

2. Privacy Officer

In accordance with section 3.1 of Law 25, our privacy officer is Michel Monette, designated through our partner Synéra. You can reach them at info@syneratech.ca or 438-686-4693. For everyday requests, you may also write to ITGS directly at info@itgs.ca.

3. Information We Collect

We may collect the following, when you provide it (form, email, phone) or automatically during your visit:

  • Identity and contact details: name, email, phone, organization, role;
  • Content of your communications (messages, assessment requests);
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type, pages visited.

We do not collect any sensitive information without your explicit consent.

4. Purposes of Collection

Your information is used to:

  • respond to your requests and deliver our services (managed IT, cybersecurity, backup);
  • manage the client relationship and follow up on files;
  • improve our website and services;
  • meet our legal and contractual obligations.

5. Consent

In accordance with section 8, your consent is obtained at the time of collection (form, email, phone). You may withdraw your consent at any time, free of charge, by writing to us at info@itgs.ca.

6. Use and Disclosure

We never sell your personal information. It may be shared only with our technology vendors (bound by contract and confidentiality), with authorities when required by law, or as part of a corporate reorganization (merger, acquisition).

7. Cross-Border Transfers

In accordance with section 17, some of our vendors (e.g. Cloudflare for hosting, Microsoft for email and cloud) may process data outside Quebec, including in the United States. We carry out privacy impact assessments and put appropriate contractual protections in place.

8. Security Measures

In accordance with section 3.4, we apply reasonable security measures: access control, system protection and cybersecurity best practices. In the event of an incident, we act according to legal requirements.

9. Data Retention

In accordance with section 23, your information is kept only as long as necessary for the stated purposes or to meet our legal obligations (tax, contractual). On expiry, it is securely destroyed or anonymized.

10. Your Rights

In accordance with sections 27 and 28, you have the right to:

  • access your information and obtain a copy;
  • request its correction;
  • withdraw your consent;
  • request its deletion;
  • request its portability.

We respond within 30 days. If you disagree, you may file a complaint with Quebec's Commission d'accès à l'information (CAI) at 1-888-528-7741.

11. Privacy Incident

In accordance with section 3.5, in the event of an incident affecting your information, we take measures to limit its consequences. If the incident poses a risk of serious harm, we notify the affected individuals and the CAI as soon as possible, and record the incident in a register.

12. Cookies

In accordance with section 8.1, our site uses essential cookies (always on, required for the site to work) and, only with your consent, analytics and marketing cookies (for example Google Analytics and Google Ads). A banner appears on your first visit so you can accept, reject or customize your choices. You can change your preferences at any time via the "Manage cookies" link at the bottom of every page.

13. Minors

Our site is intended for organizations (B2B). We do not knowingly collect information about minors. Where applicable, such information is deleted.

14. Changes

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices or the law. Any significant change will be communicated visibly on the site.
